Our blacksmiths design and manufacture gates, balconies, awnings, banisters, railings and ironmongery. With years of experience working alongside heritage architects on restoration and replica production projects, Ateliers Perrault continue to promote the beauty of traditionally forged ironworks.
Ironmongonry
Quality woodwork requires quality hardware and when the woodworks are tailor made, quality hardware which fits the bill is often difficult to find. In order to solve this problem AP created our own forge workshops in the 1960s. Typical products include:
- Hand forged nails which transform solid crossed board oak doors;
- Decorative strap hinges giving a regal touch to 16th century windows;
- Made to measure pivots, locks and bolts for carriage doors of all sizes.
Gates, Balconies & Railings
A natural decorative complement to buildings of all eras.
In addition to accompanying our woodworks the AP forge also has a life of its own. Other creations include conservatories, pergolas, forged gates, balustrades and furniture. As with our woodworks, we go to great lengths to provide the finish of your choice. Iron is beaten hot and textured according to requirements giving an authentic finish to both interior and exterior products.
Stained Glass Protection
Protecting buildings and people from bad weather conditions in the past, stained-glass windows have become authentic works of art that now deserve quality protection.
Our iron workers’ know-how is used at its best to offer adequate care and protection to these works over the centuries.
